Our Seas Coalition produced a short film to raise awareness of issues impacting the health of our coastal seas and fisheries which was released in March 2022.
The film calls for the re-establishment of a modern, coastal limit on bottom-towed fisheries to restrict damaging fishing from the coastal zones of our seas that are most vulnerable.
During the project period the coalition increased from 87 to 131 organisations including community groups, fishing associations, environmental charities, and other marine stakeholders. The film has been used as an effective campaigning tool to engage with policy makers and consultations and to drive signatures to public petitions to protect the inshore seabed.
